At the end of October we heard from Matt Damon that he was planning on shooting Steven Soderbergh’s gestating biopic on famed pianist Liberace next summer. However, since the man attached to play the iconic musician, Michael Douglas, had contracted Stage 4 throat cancer, his future, both in his career and life, seemed uncertain. However, THR recently spoke with the actor who revealed that he is recovering famously and is eager to get back to work very soon.

Though plenty of fans were quite disappointed to learn that Mark Wahlberg would step into the role of Nathan Drake for David O. Russell’s adaptation of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune , maybe a different project with the actor will interest you. In an interview with MTV , Wahlberg revealed that he has his sights set upon Broken City , a project that would pair the actor with director Allen Hughes , one-half of the Hughes brothers directing duo behind films like The Book of Eli and Menace II Society .  Wahlberg describes the film as a neo noir/crime thriller/mystery in the same vein as Chinatown or L.A

Though we got an intriguing first trailer back in May, sad news came later that Universal’s The Adjustment Bureau starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt would be delayed until March 2011. That creates some worry for the film from first-time director George Nolfi (known previously for his writing credits on such films as The Bourne Ultimatum ), but I’m still extremely excited to see the flick.
