Acclaimed writer/directors Anna Boden Ryan Fleck’s new film It’s Kind of a Funny Story begins production in New York City this week. Focus Features holds worldwide rights to the project, which it is co-financing with Wayfare Entertainment

  • The Playlist is reporting that Paul Greengrass, who directed both The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum , has exited the fourth “Bourne” movie in development at Universal Pictures. Two scripts were turned in for the project – a first one by George Nolfi and a second by Josh Zemuter. The site says that no one likes Nolfi’s version, but that Greengrass was not consulted by the studio in the hiring of Zemuter.

Sheridan’s last movie teamed him with rapper 50 Cent for the biopic Get Rich or Die Tryin’ , and it must have seemed very much like a departure, but the director’s latest, a remake of Susanne Bier’s Brothers , returns Sheridan to more familiar (and familial) territory
